OCTOBER 26th      (For November)­   Alexander Calder-American Sculptor
Training sessions are held in the cafeteria at 9:30 AM and repeated at 7:00PM.  You need only attend one session.

Alexander Calder was born in 1898 in Lawnton, Pennsylvania and died in 1976. Both his father and grandfather were famous sculptors. Calder was a sculptor who is best known for creating the mobile, stabile, and for his circus, “Calder’s Circus” Calder became the first artist to hang sculptures from the ceiling, mobiles. He created sculpture that moved, known as kinetic sculpture. He was one of the most famous artists of the 20th century and his idea of making fun, colorful shapes move naturally in the air changed the way people thought about sculpture forever.
